A very VERY interesting and enlightening interview with a former Hans Zimmer intern about the process of composing a score within Remote Control Productions.

"very" "interesting"

Thanks for the heads-up, though!

Everybody sounds like Seth Rogan to me these days!
Nothing really unexpected from that interview that I didn't already know or suspect about the inner workings of RCP.
I listened to the guys Galapagos suite on Spotify afterwards and some of it was quite nice, despite some obvious below par samples.

This guy was 7 years old when Pirates came out, so he clearly knows everything about it.

So basically the guy knows nearly nothing about POTC 1...

"suspect about the inner workings of RCP."

That was the point. Most people suspect and or makeup stuff but don't have the facts. Here was have from the mouth on an actual intern Remote Control's process for writing a score.

I think it's fascinating.

Is that what he said?

But it was already pretty much confirmed in the liner notes of one of those James Brooks comedies that Zimmer scored (can't remember which one...maybe Spanglish?).
Brooks basically says the same thing. That Hans oversees the scoring and farms out scenes and cues with various other composers during the post-production process.
