I have the Label X release. The listed score tracks look identical to the new release. So, as I have no interest at all in the bonus cues, all I need to know is if there is a clear improvement in sound quality between the Label X and Plantsound editions.

Very interesting.I don't know the film but if this soundtrack is going to be as fantastic as "Sir Gawain" and/or as much fun as "Candleshoe", this will be another Goodwin hit for me. The packaging looks sumptuous.
Will other companies be carying this title too? I usually order from SAE.

Thank you very much for releasing this score!

The score itself is identical, but sounds better. How much, and if it is enough for you? Well, that's a tough one for me to answer.
The new master has given the music more clarity and power smile

Also, the booklet has some really neat information and photos from the recording sessions! wink

Hi D.S

We have been in touch with SAE, but they are yet to reply. So if they do carry it, then it probably won't be at the release.
There is a €4 world wide shipping price at our site, and since you get a €2,50 discount when pre-ordering, I don't see any reason not to order! wink
But hey... I'm supposed to say that! big grin

I won't complain about the new release because of the bonuses and new mastering, but I have to ask: Why wasn't the full score presented this time?

Very simple. The complete score is yet to be found...
Danish film companies had a horrible habit of deleting the music after the final mix, and re-using the tapes.

For someone like me, who really want to present all this amazing music from Danish films, to filmmusic fans, it is an ever growing frustration!

That sucks. And I think we would all agree it's frustrating.

Anyway, I highly recommend people check out samples -- this is certainly something to pick up!

Thank you! I'm glad you think so smile The score really sounds great with the new mastering!
And I have to mention the brilliant booklet, with an in depth look at the film and music. It really is amazing!

Thank you for keeping the work of Sir Ron rescued.
He was such a great composer and writer of impressive themes- its an inexplicable travesty why he isnt more widely loved and collected beyond 50 year old plus uk collectors - those hooked during childhood by 633 and battle of britain and Eagles and frenzy. In some ways, he is a bit of a secret gem but if people wanna miss out, its their loss.

Hi Cody
They haven't replied to any of our mails, so at the moment there's not much chance of that happening soon :-/

Will Plantsounds release albums of music from films directed by Henning Carlsen or Gabriel Axel?

Any music by Per Nørgaard in your pipeline?

Its cheaper to order from Plantsounds dood. Plus, they get ALL the money for their release. Please order from website to support label. I live in Ohio and I have always ordered direct from PS. Just like I ordered this magnificent score by Sir Ron. Nice job Plantsounds!!!

Plantsounds posted that they have been in touch with SAE, but SAE has not responded. Why not ? I never order from abroad from any label which includes excellent releases from Tadlow, Quartet and others.

We have tried to get in touch but did not get a reply so we'll ask again. I did order a copy direct from their site just to be safe. Will post if any success ordering copies for the site. Thanks, Craig/SAE

So who is not replying ? The person posting at PlantSounds says it's SAE. Craig2 at SAE says it's PlantSounds. If VALHALLA appears at the SAE website,it's a buy.

Two great minds think alike. Columbus to Prague. HA!. Its $20.80 inc shipping to US. Way cheaper than SAE- child.
