Hey JB Fan - It's great that you're picking up those old FSM releases. The Gerald Fried horror doubler was one of the very first, and is still in print after more than twenty years. That's another nickel in LK's bank account. I was in a place called Scroteland, and in a smelly shop under a bridge in Glasgow that smelled of diesel, tar and urine, I picked up, for 3 quid, the Adriano recording of Bernard Herrmann's JANE EYRE. I have a few of his "re-interpretations". I don't doubt his mastery, professionalism and objectives, but I fell asleep on first listen. More bollocks to come after several close scrutinies. Oh! A 5-disc release from Network of MAN IN A SUITCASE! I love that Ron Grainer theme. It doesn't appear much in the 335-min (!) box though. I've only heard Disc 1 thoroughly so far. Albert Elms. I never could quite work out the difference between Albert Elms and Edwin Astley. Astley seems the more "genius" of the two (there's even a TV documentary about him), but Elms seems to part of his shadow. I used to think that they were the same person. But all that's for another thread, which may possibly never materialize unless someone wants to put their bollocks on the table.
