This animated movie opening May 15, 2020 kicks off proposed new Hanna-Barbera Cinematic Universe that will continue with The Jetsons, The Flintstones, and Wacky Races
Opposite for me. I have no interest in SCOOBY DOO -- never grew up with it, I don't think I've seen a single episode. But the hiring of Tom Holkenborg makes me excited about the score! I'd love to see him do animation or live action/animation combo or whatever this is. A million times more interesting than Giacchino, and even far more than Silvestri or Beck or whatever other suggestions have been put up here.
Holkenborg is the last person, who I'd expect to score an animated Scooby Doo movie. Somebody in Hollywood must really love him. Unless Holkenborg gets out of his comfort zone Giacchino, Beck, and Silvestri would've been more suitable choices. That's a fact.
