With Giacchino aboard, it's almost a lock that this will be another financial and cultural disaster (which is a bummer, as I love the director, but the subject matter of the film leans heavily toward financial and cultural disaster).

Man, I guess he could always prove me wrong, but I don't know if there's a composer whose musical-dad-joke sensibility seems worse matched with tonally delicate material like this. Shame that the director isn't working with Mothersbaugh again, who seems much more adept at walking that tricky balance of deadpan comedy and trauma. Still, I guess we can look forward to some of Giacchino's signature punny track titles ("Nazi Fast, Buster," "Don't be a Quitler" etc.).

The presence of Rebel Wilson is more of a dealbreaker for me...
And Scarlett Johansson. Maybe that's why Giacchino signed on -she did (one of her first movies) My Brother The Pig. Maybe he thought it would be funny to do two movies with her in them that have animals in the title. So don't be surprised if he gets the Black Widow gig.
When I saw the trailer Friday...I said: 'what the hell is this?' So over the top outrageous...it reminded me of something Woody Allen might have done. Do not see this type of satire much anymore...
OST album now available digitally anywhere it's already Friday

Quartet Records gave Book of Henry a physical CD two years after it's digital release, hopefully they can do the same for this (though we are still waiting for a physical releases of Black and Earth Days)
Yes they did. I wonder why La La Land or Intrada don't step in to do a physical release, supposing there are no other interested parties or the rights holders will allow it. LLL seem to do it for Balfe!!!
