Except that your response was insulting and pointless in context. If you said Max Steiner was a good composer, would it make any sense if I said "That's nice, but soundtracks are better now"? And followed up with "you're just being nostalgic"? And I doubt any gas stations today are giving out paper cut-outs of the latest spacecraft models.

That's obvious. It's called being dismissive and missing the point by making unnecessary comparisons. Would be like posting about your thread here, "Who cares about the old Apollo LEM when we've got better spaceships today? The old LEM sucked, it's old news, drop it in a dumpster." The LEM was great for a picnic on the Moon. Everything worked as it was designed to. The amalgam of ideas involved in getting a man to the Moon and back worked, too. Going to the Moon is doable. The real problem is Mars - consumables for a few days out won't cut it. If we can't hack Mars, we'll be rubbed out right here.
