I've just bagged a copy of this for a knock-down price. The recent Lalo Top 10 thread made me realise how untapped his music library is to me. So, I thought I'd gamble on this one, for the decent price, not having heard a note. I hope I enjoy it more than the 'other historical epic' I own by Schifrin...CAVEMAN Any thoughts on this score?

I found the CD a bit lack-lustre. I seem to remember there was far more interesting music in the actual TV series than was released on disc.
I haven't played it in years. While I thought it was ok I found it a bit more romantic rather than biblical(whether ala Rozsa , North or Nascimbene etc).

The CD release [ AD AD ] omitted basically all of the ' action ' queues as the composer wished this and what we have as a listening experience is uninteresting .
