TUESDAY, APRIL 16 GAME OF THRONES---the Season 8 premiere drew a record 17.4 million viewers which surpassed the previous record of Season 7's finale with 16.9 million viewers. Also, a video of George Lucas visiting the film set and jokingly directing Kit Harington was released. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs_0DwwFRvQ Kit Harington commented on possible criticism of the final season, “I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season — and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here — but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their [negative] judgement on it, in my head they can go f–k themselves. ‘Cause I know how much work was put into this.” Rob McElhenney (IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA) posted a photo of his cameo in the Season 8 premiere in which he dies after being shot in the eye with an arrow. Martin Starr (SILICON VALLEY) also had a fatal cameo. STAR WARS---George Lucas said Jar Jar Binks, "is my favorite character" from the STAR WARS movies. Lucas said Jar Jar actor Ahmed Best, "did a fantastic job. It was very, very hard." Best has said he considered suicide after receiving a lot of fan criticism for playing Jar Jar. Best received a standing ovation when he appeared onstage at Star Wars Celebration. Lucas added that THE PHANTOM MENACE is one of his favorite movies in the franchise. THE LORD OF THE RINGS---the new Amazon series will reportedly start filming in Leith, Scotland in August. STAR TREK---Jonathan Frakes confirmed he will direct two episodes in the new Jean-Luc Picard tv series starring Patrick Stewart. CHILD'S PLAY---photo released of Chucky, with Mark Hamill as his voice, from the remake movie. THE FLASH---photo released of new villain Godsend from Season 5. METHUSELAH---Jon Watts (SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING) is in negotiations to direct the movie starring Michael B. Jordan. Y: THE LAST MAN---showrunners Michael Green and Aida Croal left the FX series due to creative differences. MANIFEST---NBC renewed the series for Season 2. PSYCH: THE MOVIE 2---Jimmi Simpson and Joel McHale will star in the USA Network movie sequel. A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING---Netflix movie underway based on the children's books. THE NUN 2---Akela Cooper (LUKE CAGE) will write the movie sequel. TRIVIA---in MY COUSIN VINNY, Austin Pendleton played stuttering public defender John Gibbons. Pendelton, who really had a stuttering problem, said his friend, director Jonathan Lynn, persuaded him to appear in the movie, '"It turned into this huge hit. And the result of course is that I couldn't get work in the movies for three years after it...I could not get a job with anyone who had never worked with me. They would all but tell me it was because of MY COUSIN VINNY. I said, "I can get through a whole movie without stuttering." But they said, "Now the whole audience is going to want you to stutter." And Jonathan got so guilty about that that he proceeded to cast me in three more movies. He was so distraught by that happening. He felt very bad about it."'

Well, he did create the character who was heavily featured in the film. Why wouldn't he really like him?
