HELLBOY---the reboot movie has a dismal Rotten Tomatoes score of 12% based on 58 reviews. This may be attributed to reports that the movie was rife with conflict between two producers, director Neill Marshall and stars David Harbour and Ian McShane.
Sources claim co-producers Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin openly feuded with Marshall, and Levin fired Marshall's cinematographer, Sam McCurdy, “to send a message to Marshall that despite being the film’s director, Marshall was not in charge”.
Also, Harbour and McShane reportedly rewrote their own scenes and refused to accept directions from Marshall.
Marshall, Harbour, McShane, Gordon and Lionsgate Films refused to comment on the reports, but Levin's attorney, Martin Singer, replied that the reports were, “shaping up as a puff-piece for Mr. Marshall while tarnishing HELLBOY and my client.”

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS---Mark Hamill commented on his unused concept for Luke Skywalker in THE FORCE AWAKENS, "Everyone talks about the shock of realizing that, on FORCE AWAKENS, I don't come in until the last page, a bigger shock to me was them killing Han Solo before Luke could ever see his best friend again. I mean, it might be selfishly motivated, but I said, 'Holy cow, that's a real missed opportunity.' Even having the three of us together, even briefly. I pitched [JJ] Abrams on the idea of, 'You can still have me come in at the very end, but how about this. How about Leia's trying to contact me telepathically, she gets frustrated because there's no answers, so she rushes to the new Death Star."
He added, "And she almost gets there but she gets stopped by two Stormtroopers and, just before she's abducted, one Stormtrooper turns to the other one, blows him away, pulls off his helmet and says "Hi, sis, I'm here to rescue you."' I say, 'It'll blow the roof off the joint, I'm still in it at the very end.'"
Hamill also commented on STAR WARS fatigue, "I'm not gonna tell them how to run their business. But is there a possibility of a STAR WARS fatigue? Yeah, I think there is. I've experienced it to a certain degree but they never listened to my ideas anyway, so who needs 'em?"

PLOT AGAINST AMERICA---HBO six-part miniseries based on the alternate history novel in which aviation pioneer Charles Lindbergh became the President of the US and leads the country into a fascist state as seen from the perspective of a blue collar Jewish family in New Jersey. Winona Ryder and John Turturro star.

THE DROPOUT---Kate McKinnon will star in the Hulu miniseries about con-artist Elizabeth Holmes who founded Theranos, a company that would revolutionize the blood-testing field. FORBES listed Holmes as the youngest, self-made female billionaire in the US with Theranos valued at $9 billion and her own net worth of $4.5 billion which plummeted to "zero dollars" after her technology was found to be based on faked results.
A federal grand jury indicted Holmes on nine charges of wire fraud and two counts of intent to commit wire fraud.

CHARLIE'S ANGELS---photo released for the latest movie starring Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and Kristen Stewart.

HILLBILLY ELEGY---Glenn Close will co-star with Amy Adams in the Ron Howard/Netflix movie based on the memoir. Close will play the family matriarch.

MIGHTY MOUSE---Paramount Animation movie underway based on the 1950s cartoon supermouse. The writers are Jon and Erich Hoeber (THE MEG).

SHADOWS OF HISTORY---Robert Englund will host this new Travel Channel series about "frightening, odd and creepy" news stories.

BARRY---HBO renewed the series for Season 3.

TRIVIA---the original STAR TREK episode "The Lights of Zetar" was written by Jeremy Tarcher and his wife Shari Lewis, the famed puppeteer and ventriloquist. Lewis wanted to play the role of Lt. Mira Romaine, but the role went to Jan Shutan.

Lewis and her sock puppet Lamb Chop.

Shari Lewis co-wrote a Star Trek. Now I've heard everything.

And does anyone even remember Mighty Mouse? When's the last time a Mighty Mouse cartoon aired on television? The studio has to know that they're throwing money down the toilet here.

If done right, with the same energy as the original it could've been awesome. Though I'd leave out the second Stormtrooper and already have Leia in a cell. I don't see Luke blowing away an unsuspecting adversary.

Then it would just be a repeat of A NEW HOPE, and ruin the surprise.
