BEETLEJUICE 2---a Warner Bros. spokeswoman commented on the status of the long-rumored sequel, "The project isn't in active development." Tim Burton said, “Nothing, nothing. I don’t know. I doubt it [will happen].” Larry Wilson, the original movie's co-writer said, “The bottom line is, Tim Burton and Michael Keaton are not going to think about a BEETLEJUICE sequel unless it somehow catches the energy of the first film. And that’s not easy. BEETLEJUICE really was lightning in a bottle. But there have been discussions since it really shocked everyone in 1988. And in terms of BEETLEJUICE GOES HAWAIIAN, wiser heads prevailed. Thank God there’s a level of integrity here.”
SHAZAM!---the sequel is underway with Henry Gayden returning to write the script.
LONG SHOT---Charlize Theron, while promoting her movie with co-star Seth Rogen, said she's looking for a boyfriend, "I've been single for 10 years, it's not a long shot. Somebody just needs to grow a pair and step up. I'm shockingly available." Theron broke off her engagement with Sean Penn in 2015.
RUSH HOUR 4----Chris Tucker posted a photo of himself with Jackie Chan which hinted the fourth movie is being developed. However, Chan's production company denied a sequel is underway.
LISEY'S STORY---Julianne Moore stars in the Apple eight-episode miniseries based on the Stephen King novel. King will write the episodes.
THE QUARRY---Michael Shannon and Shea Whigham star in this movie about a man with a shady past who impersonates a minister in a small town which arouses the interest of the police chief.
SABRINA---Drew Goddard will write and possibly direct the movie based on the graphic novel about two friends who are victimized by conspiracy theorists.
PREACHER---Seth Rogen confirmed Season 4 will be the last season.
MONSTERS AT WORK---Disney+ tv series underway based on the animated movie MONSTERS, INC. which is set six months after the original movie in which the power plant harvests children's laughter to power Monstropolis. John Goodman and Billy Crystal return to provide the voices.
THE CROWN---Emma Corin will play Lady Diana Spencer in Season 4.
TRIVIA---AIRPLANE! was a spoof of the four AIRPORT disaster movies. The only AIRPLANE! actor that appeared in an AIRPORT movie was Jimmie Walker. In AIRPLANE!, Walker played the Windshield Wiper Man. In THE CONCORDE: AIRPORT '79, Walker played Boisie, the saxophone player.
