I know that the usual experts here will know who this is right off the bat; I just thought this was such an unusually sultry pic of her.

Oh that picture's really bugging me. I can remember seeing the face in films, but I just can't put a name to it.

As I said earlier it looks like someone younger(from the 80s/90s) done up to look like something from then.My guess was Shit but that's what I meant

That shot is definitely out of left field.

Reminds me of Rita Hayworth but looking at her younger pics, not really. If your comment is a clue, I'd rule out Janet Leigh in "Angels in the Outfield."

Betty Field. She certainly didn't have this look in Kings Row!

Wish we could get FLESH AND FANTASY (1943) on video. Field is very good in the first episode, as a plain-looking woman who allows a smooth-talking shop owner talk her into wearing a mask of a beauty for Mardi Gras, with intriguing results.

There's a dvdr from Universal made-on-demand, although video quality isn't as good as the foreign PAL dvd release. It also has the PAL audio pitch and runtime.

What's really tragic about FLESH AND FANTASY is that Tansman's score survived on acetates owned by his family in Paris. They agreed to donate them for restoration and....shipped them to the US! What arrived was a box filled with shards of glass. A few discs managed to make it intact but most were shattered. Ironically, much of the music that made it through was from the deleted opening sequence that was later used for the B feature DESTINY.
