I have searched but can't find a thread specifically for DAB radio in the UK. I know of the Internet versions like Cinematic sound but not too sure I can pick up in the car.

With so many digital stations are there any that cater first soundtracks more than any others? Or is it still TOO niche?

Not to my knowledge I'm afraid. You'd think someone in the UK would have filled that niche by now. Two shows on Saturdays aren't enough. One of which has never acknowledged the existence of Intrada and La-La Land the label. Classic FM is happy to play Justin Hurwitz's music from the movie of that name....

New DAB station Scala plays a fair amount of film music, that's the closest I can think of. Mark Kermode does a film music show every Saturday afternoon on it. Encore Radio does as well but I think it's only on DAB in London (though its mainly musicals). The only internet station I've listened to is "The Big Score" from Got Radio, which isn't too bad though it's US.

Agreed; and these are all essentially classical stations. So aside from the dedicated Saturday-afternoon shows (of which there are usually three, but one of ’em's just gone off air for a few weeks), it's just the occasional track here and there. And good luck hearing much outside of those Saturday-afternoon shows that's in a non-orchestral idiom: electronica, jazz/funk/rock soundtracks etc.

3 shows on Saturday. Kermode on Scala, Collins on Classic and Matthew Sweet on Radio 3.

Thomas, thanks for the heads up about "Big Score."
Considering the only film music programmes I had growing up were "Music From The Movies" On BBS (Barbados Broadcasting Service. Format: 1. Play one soundtrack album in its entirety.) and Adrian Juste's movie music request programme on the BBC World Service in the late 1980s (he never played any of my requests..(In fairness, Some of them didn't have soundtrack albums out... (then) I didn't know)

I'm allergic to Matthew Sweet, Maybe that's why I always forget his show...

Thanks for those and for confirming what I suspected. No dedicated station at present.
