Journey with Kilt-Man and Hercules as they venture deep into the Underworld of Mario Bava's sumptuously colourful and bizarrely imaginative peplum fantasy from 1961, Hercules in the Haunted World! And listen to the wondrously eerie score from the great Armando Trovojoli!!!
Your YouTube video on this Mario Bava peplum-horror is the first one that I watched.
I've owned this Trovajoli soundtrack since Digitmovies issued this music within their CD volumes dedicated to Mario Bava movies. The best part of your video is hearing selections from this soundtrack played in the background throughout your half-hour program.
As a fan of this film & its music, I daresay that your YT soliloquy offers little beyond that which a seasoned audience already knows from years of couch-potato watching & listening. Your 'kilt's seem geared towards introducing newbies to vintage genre material.
Glad you love Armando's score for this flick, nevertheless. Other genre soundtracks by Trovajoli from this year (1961) hold many similarities to Ercole al centro della terra, especially the peplum ones like Il gigante di Metropolis (sci-fi peplum) and Maciste l'uomo piu' forte del mondo (a regular peplum).
If you don't mind, I'll promote these titles within this thread (since Kilt-Man's video doesn't mention Trovajoli's other works in this area).
