It was my understanding that we were due for multiple Star Trek OST releases this year, but we're nearly to April and no word of anything coming down the line. (At least as far as I can find--I get most of my news on this topic from TrekCore.)

Any updates on what we can expect and (possibly more importantly) when?

This is one occasion when it's an advantage to be an old timer: all my Star Trek music has already been released. But out of curiosity, what is still in studio vaults?

There is a Voyager Volume 2 scheduled for release, latest I heard was this summer. Beyond that I don’t know that anything else is slated to be released.

Among the specific gems I'm hoping for:
* Complete episodic music for "Caretaker" and "Parallax" (VOY)
* Selections from "Time and Again" (VOY)
* The comedic Ferengi theme from "Profit and Lace" (DS9)
* the cue from the beginning of "Starship Mine" when Picard was looking around the empty bridge; it's one of Jay Chattaway's best pieces

I remember reading somewhere about a TV "Leftovers" 4 CD set.

And I assume we'll get more Star Trek Discovery music if that counts. I'm enjoying the show, but haven't been paying attention to the score. The theme has grown on me a little after first being bewildered by it.

Is the Star Trek "Fan Requests" set still in play for 2020 or beyond?

2019 marks the 10th anniversary of J. J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot.

I'd buy in a flash an expanded reissue of Giacchino's fabulous score, this time with choir and all the layers of percussions, like in the movie.

I guess this is Varèse Sarabande territory, isn'it ?

There was discussion last year about doing Voyager Vol 2, and after that a "leftovers" collection just as Pete described, although there wasn't a specific timeline discussed for the latter.

Does that mean VOY Vol 2 is the one planned for this year? What's the timeline?

MV said in the LLL Questions thread that Voyager II: The Voyaging should be coming this summer.

I’m worried about that one. If Lakeshore follows the same release strategy they did with the second season of STRANGER THINGS, we’ll be forced to choose between a one-volume CD or a two-volumes digital download. I’m still sore about that.

I haven't watched episode 10 "The Red Angel" yet, but apparently Doug Jones sings. I replied to a tweet reply of Jeff Russo's to Doug Jones saying that his performance was great. I tweeted that I was ready for Chapter III and IV CDs from Lakeshore records, and the composer and Doug Jones liked my tweet. Does that mean anything? Nope - but I think the composer would like to see those CDs out too.

Its almost as if they WANT physical media to fail......

I don't get it, re-releases appear to be highly lucrative for labels. Once physical media is gone, so are re-releases.

it seems like some labels are busy with every imaginable James Horner expansion

If you run a download catalog, you could create "re-releases" by deleting a title from your catalog, waiting a few years or a decade, and then announcing that it's back, but available for a limited time only. Everybody wins.

I'm not sure what the game will be for a streaming service.
