Woooo!

I love Robocop 2, so that’s a no-brainer.

And I had missed Raggedy Man first time around, so I’m happy to finally have that.

Ordered DREAMCATCHER, which I don't have at all, and a 2-CD set for $20. Couldn't pass it up. Thanks VARESE!

I remember a lot of people were unhappy they could only get Dreamcatcher DE in that big Stephen King box set, so this should make them very happy, especially at that generous $19.98 price point for a 2 disc DE.

I'm of course very happy about Raggedy Man, assuming that it is indeed the complete score that was initially released in 1991. Glad to have it in my collection.

I'm not a Rosenman fan so won't be getting Robocop 2 (I can't stand how he behaved his score was so superior to Basil's). But I'm happy for those who were waiting for this. I'm amazed the Rosenman title gets 1500 copies (I thought he sold poorly?) while the rare Goldsmith reissue only gets 1000 copies. I predict Raggedy Man will sell out really fast while Robocop 2 will hang around quite a while (I'd have switched the quantities, at least). But maybe I'm wrong and a high enough percentage of those who own Basil's Robocop and Robocop 3 in complete form will feel the need to complete the trilogy, so the franchise will carry sales above the normal Rosenman sales (I wonder how Star Trek IV complete did for Intrada).

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed not to get another significant Goldsmith expansion, but I'm still happy.

Yavar

No U.S. Marshals or AFO. What a disappointment again. JG fans who missed Raggedy Man will be happy.

Nice! I am so happy to see Raggedy Man getting an Encore, thanks Varese!!! Ordered, along with RoboCop2, and Murder By Death/Pursuit of Happiness

how the end title track on robocop 2 will be constructed BUT NOT AS MIDI - notice the build up to the end title

And while it does not appear like that in the film it is certainly score to be like this and so i would prefer it like this

As a Rosenman fan, all I can say is "Geesh, what a cry baby."
It's too bad these are $5 more at non-Varese stores, making it pricier to avoid Naxos.

I now they usually say nothing about the music itself in their adds for new releases... but linking to a trailer where that music is NOT EVEN USED is quite funny

Varese style prevails!

RoboCop 2 all the way! I doubted this would ever happen. Thank you, Robert Townson!

Kind of disappointing that Townson's last batch consists of two reissues (yes Dreamcatcher is actually an Encore!) and just one (albeit terrific) expansion.

Still waiting for US Marshals and Air Force One guys!

Yes, that is me. I did not buy the cardboard sleeve box Stephen King set, so I will be ordering this Dreamcatcher and Raggedy Man!
Wonder if they had so many of the boxes left, that they just repackaged the CDs in jewel case and called it the deluxe edition? LOL. Now please release THE STAND individually, please and thank you.

I'm over the moon for both "RoboCop 2" and "Raggedy Man".

Nice batch, Varese!

Totally on board for RoboCop 2 and Dreamcatcher!
Very happy this got a stand alone release - after the Stephen King set I'd pretty much given up hope for that, but didn't want to buy that expansice set when the only score of interest to me in there was Dreamcatcher.

As for RoboCop 2... well it sure itsn't as great as Poledouris' two scores, but I always like Rosenman's theme (choir or not) as well as the movie. So yeah, let's complete the score trilogy!

What the.... Dreamcatcher!!!
What a disappointment again.

But Raggedy Man is really happy.

Robocop 2- Meh, already have Star Trek 4 which is a great compilation of the composers work. wink

Dreamcatcher- Usually love the composer but this sounds like atmospheric underscore.
Not my cup of tea.

Raggedy Man- Never heard this score before. Very short but the thematic material in the samples are quite beautiful. Will pick this one up!
