Attention U.S. TCM Subscribers: Next up in Eddie Muller's Noir Alley is a "dead man walking", namely Frank Bigelow played by Edmond O'Brien in 1950's D.O.A. (More here including Saturday evening and Sunday morning's showtime information throughout the U.S.):
Arthur, you used the word "riveting" to describe this film. That is exactly right. Along with Out of the Past, this may be the best film noir ever made. Superb.
And as a side note, the remake is actually pretty damn good.
