I have this great 3 cds set and i realized that its only Frontiere music for season 1. Is it all of Frontiere music or there are some missing ? If so, do we have the best ? And what about season 2 by Harry Lubin ? Is it lost ? Is it good ? All i have for this season is the theme on TELEVISION'S GREATEST HITS.
Frontiere's score for the episode "The Galaxy Being" using variations on his main theme is not included on the LLL set. The recordings must be lost. One cue from the episode was included on the old GNP Crescendo album taken from the music & effects track.

It's not lost, it's just that none of the labels are apparently interest in licensing the recordings. You can find an album or two to buy digitally, but the rest is in the KPM and/or Capitol library. "Good" is a matter of taste. Some of it is droning and wailing, some of it is brilliant.

Much like Scott's posts.
Lubin's library now belongs to Warner/Chappel. Previously belonged to Carlin (aka CPM) which partially digitized the library, but noone has done anything since.

But Frontiere music for this series is maybe the best horror/gothic one could get. Its up there wih 60'S STAR TREK. And it reminds me that we still don't have anything (not even a theme !) on Dominic Frontiere superb scores for another 60's classic: THE INVADERS !
What is the situation about this music: is it lost ?

Well, at least some of my posts are brilliant. I'll take it.

Right, thanks for that correction. I get the libraries confused.
