This 1995 theme is still fantastic. Mancina's gift for catchy themes was second to none.

I remember the joy when me and my mates found out that the theme was featured on the otherwise crap r&b/rap soundtrack album. We played it LOUD in the car.

Anyone else who just have to put on this theme from time to time?

Is the time for themes like this over?

The theme is great, but I never cared much for the rest of the score, to be honest.

Really??

I love the score, thankfully La La Land released it. Some great emotional material for acoustic guitar, a theme reminding me of Tubular Bells, and several good versions of the main theme.

The CD is a bit too long though, but that's a minor quibble.

Guess it's mostly the noisy action music that feels a bit offputting, kinda going nowhere. But the calmer moments are fine. Obviously, the LLL release didn't do it any favours by presenting it the way they did; perhaps there's a better listening experience hiding in there somewhere.

Yeah. If only someone invented a way to create your own albums. Imagine the ability to listen to the CD, decide which tracks you like and then make a playlist. Ah well. Maybe one day...

THAT I agree with.

I seem to remember Nick Glennie Smith is listed as co-composer on this.

I was just talking about this the other day. Mancina was great at creating memorable themes. Bad Boys, Twister, Speed, Speed 2, Con Air, even his few more recent jobs like Haunted Mansion and August Rush. I really miss music writing like his but am so happy companies like La La Land and Intrada are expanding his scores. Now if someone would just expand Con Air or release Training Day...

I have no need for an expanded CON AIR, but TRAINING DAY score is long overdue.

But first we need FAIR GAME of course, his very best IMO. Thankfully there is a good unmentionable out there, but we need an official album with liner notes.

I'm all in for Mark Mancina's BAIT.

The theme is fine. I wonder if there is enough material for a score release. Saw the film ages ago.

Recently rewatched this absolute classic (LOL) and I can definitely say there's at least an hour of material to be released. It fits right in with the tone of Bad Boys and Money Train, and really is a hidden gem.

There was a really dramatic building cue on his website from Bait from a while ago. The 2 minute cue alone would be worth the price to me.

Also, wasn't there a rap song in Bait that used samples from Con Air? Or am I crazy?
