I'm only interested if it's directed by Miller. I also think it will be written and produced by Miller too. Tom Hardy was great as Max.
Sorry. Can't agree with you there. Mel WAS Max.There can be no other.
Miller made a good Mad Max style movie. But Tom Hardy was not Max for me. He was an entirely different character to me.
Either convince Mel to come back and give Max a proper send off (a la Wolverine) or make the series in the same tone of the original series but do not re-cast Max. Make it about someone else.
I agree, Rick, but I think that ship sailed when they cast Tom Hardy to actually PLAY the Mad Max character. In retrospect, I wish he could have played a different character in the same universe, thus opening up the possibility for a return of Mel Gibson. But that's too late now.

Yeah. It's a shame really.
I think your "in retrospect" idea would have worked perfectly - especially if the Tom Hardy character was an adult version of one of the kids in the original trilogy.
I love Hardy as Max. Having said that, it would be cool if he was the grown up Feral kid because it would be a neat twist and make for a cool sequel. Then Hardy could take on the mantle of Max without being the actual Max. I'm really excited for a sequel, and THREE THOUSAND YEARS OF LONGING. Miller is my favorite!

don't count your chickens yet Henry, sounds like legal and money issues are still in the way of this getting done soon. Though since it was a commercial and critical success it makes little sense for the studio to stiff Miller, pay the man his bonus for goodness sake
Is this to be the Highway to Heaven series of post-apocalyptic salvation, the kind Judge Dredd could be if he wasn't such a slurring pusswad and went on his Long Walk already?
I propose a dystopian floral oasis that goes to shuyte the minute Rockatansky hits the scene.
I hope you get your movie Henry. I wouldn't mind seeing Gibson come back as Max as long as they didn't make him a 60 plus year old action star, like they have with other franchise favorites like Indie and Han.

Thanks buddy! I think it would be cool if Hardy AND Gibson were in the same movie. Which could work if Hardy is the Feral Kid. I know it's just a theory, but I like it.
