Now I'm confused. Are you both talking about the so-called "White Album"? If so, it's just referred to that name because of its all-white cover. Its actual title is "The Beatles" and is a double album of new songs from 1968 (not a compilation). Some people hate it (like Mr. Marshall and Jim Phelps), while others find it quite a good listen in its eclectic song selection (like me). No, I knew about the White Album, but was confused when people started talking about red and blue ones that aren't listed among their studio albums. It turns out the red and blue are two of their 53 compilation albums.

RR: Side 2 of the "Abbey Road" album is all killer, no filler. I'll be in the store the first day the future Giles Martin remix hits the stores, RR. "You Never Give Me Your Money", would definitely be on the playlist.

I can't say I have a playlist, as such, but when I gorge on them I tend to reach for my homemade CD's of the b-sides or the Decca material. Of the core studio albums, my favorite is the 1st. "I Saw Her Standing There" is one of the best rock and roll tunes of all time--the sheer youthful exuberance in it is lightning in a bottle. I also gravitate towards the songs that I can play the basslines on. McCartney's lines are often a great workout. Oh shit.... why did you have to mention "I Saw Her Standing There"????? It's almost 2 in the morning, and now I HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT.... but the neighbours would roast me alive!
