Kilt-Man attempts to pick up the pieces of Liam Neeson's career after the Hollywood star's cataclysmic clanger of a confession during an interview with The Independent!

Cheers

Probably terrible for his career, but I kinda admire his honesty.
We have to allow people to become better than they once were, that is how I feel.

Yes at least he realised he was in the wrong and done something about it. Weird thing to mention in an interview though, sometimes things really are best left unsaid. Will it harm his career in the long term though?

Incidentally I met him once. Apparently he used to have a holiday home near where my family has ours, and my mum and I bumped into him one Sunday afternoon when he was walking back from the shop with his groceries!

Good thing for him that he didn’t tangle with Jussie Smollert who fought off two rope and bleach wielding attackers at 2AM in -20F weather all while he talked on his cell phone and clutched a Subway sandwich! Neeson might’ve ended up worse than Darkman!

This.

probably not his best career move to even bring it up when such damaging honesty is best left in the bottom drawer marked Things im ashamed of.

Hell, everyone has a drawer like that from 40 years ago!

I am going to make a "Leave Liam Alone" video. I hope it goes viral.

It won't harm his career in the slightest. At age nearing 70 and a personal net worth of close to $100 million, do you think he cares?

Well, I had NO CLUE Liam Neeson was even in a film that was due out soon.
But now I do.
I know all about the film.
How's that for guerrilla advertising and promotion!?

How Liam became an action star with a slew of hit films is beyond me. Edit: I think hes a fine actor I just never bought him as an action star.

wink For sure! Last time I was that surprised at someone becoming an action star was "David Cassidy: Man Undercover"!

There was a running joke at the time about him being officer "Sass" Shay.

Hasn't he retired a bunch of times? I'm not sure he's too concerned with his career's future lol.

We have to allow people to become better than they once were, that is how I feel.

That was part of his point in sharing his story which is totally lost on a crazed rush to judge. In the old days it might have made a small blurb in some entertainment paper, but today it's just another example of how oxymoronic "social media" is.
