Really hope Tyler returns. He did an admiral job picking up Goldsmith’s reigns.
He used the theme nicely several times, but his actual underscore and action music was quite unlike Goldsmith's. I'd personally rather have Joel McNeely take a crack at it, since he emulates Jerry's action style better than anyone else I can think of...
Funny this wasn't detected by the usual thread police?
Wow, I even contributed to that thread and completely forgot about it. Now that I see it again and Bill Conti came up, I wouldn't mind hearing a Bill Conti score for RAMBO 5. I'm sure he would nicely incorporate Goldsmith's main theme and add his own punch to the project. I believe the story of the film takes place in Mexico and I've always enjoyed Conti's Mexican/Latin flavorings in his score for BLOOD IN, BLOOD OUT. It might be kind of great. How sad that Goldsmith isn't here for a Latin Flavored RAMBO Score. Now we all know that would have been Awesome! Just think 100 RIFLES, UNDER FIRE etc.

Yavar
OOoooh I likes this idea. Yeah, McNeely would do a fine job. It'll never happen but wow, great idea. I'd be happy with Tyler signing up again. Or James Netwon Howard.
Alan Silvestri did some fine Latin flavored stuff on 'The Quick And The Dead', 'Young Guns 2', ...., and since this Rambo film will probably be a Western in disguise, i'd like Silvestri have a go at it
