A QUIET PLACE 2---John Krasinski commented on the sequel, “The beauty of it is that it’s the expansion of a world. Most sequels are about the return of a villain or a hero, and you have to build a totally new story around your favorite hero or favorite villain. [With this sequel], we actually have the world to deal with. The world is actually the star of the movie. So, this set of circumstances – how the rest of the world is dealing with this apocalyptic tragedy – is the fun of it then. That’s what drew me back.”
He added, “So here I am now writing it and we’ll see if I end up directing it. But it’s an entertaining idea because I think for me, the cool part about this is, that it doesn’t feel like a sequel.”

Jesus Christ, what's with this insane obsession with superhero stuff? The world has gone mad.

But yes -- I AM very excited about both the new Scorsese and the new Tarantino, of those titles on the list.

LOVED A Quiet Place. Besides this one, Alien Covenant, and Upgrade I haven't seen many excellent horror films in the past four years. I think AQP in particular deserves that designation.

It is off the hook by now. This started...what, with Iron man or the Spidey Maguire? That's a long time for a fad (actually I guess not; look how long hip hop music has been popular).

It's a fantastic film; in my top 10 last year. And it held up very well when I rewatched it just a week ago. A sequel is very much welcome, even if they'll focus on a different family (perhaps one of the families/groups the father sees in the distance when he ignites the 'fire communication' on top of the silo?).

Krasinski (who I already loved on the Office) was terrific....they were all terrific. To me AQP was an example of a truly well done, imaginative horror movie, the kind that just seems to get rarer with each year.

Yeah, it really came out of left field that Krasinski -- associated with comic acts -- would direct something as visceral and brilliant as this. Same as when David Schwimmer (Ross in FRIENDS) directed the dark and excellent sexual predator film TRUST in 2010.

Heyyy, that sounds like a good one. Will definitely look up Trust!

I am a completely shameless Office fanboy, I adored that show. In fact, I think both that and 30 Rock are my favorite tv comedies ever (and I come from the generation that had MASH, Jeffersons, Happy Days, Good Times.)

I prefer the original, British version of THE OFFICE myself (and I've basically seen everything Ricky Gervais has done since), but I did see a couple of handfuls of the American version. Not too shabby as far as remakes go.

A QUIET PLACE is not on the 'anticipated' list; it was a different news item in dragon's post.

I want to see Avengers: Endgame. Want to see how the "big" problem is solved.

I am interested in the Scorsese and Tarantino movies.

I admit that I did enjoy IT. Therefore, I'm curious about IT Chapter 2.
