Nimoy had a great career as Spock and on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and putting out all his LP Albums and books. And he was a very good and capable film director. He is definitely missed.
He had a good voice but it suffered (maybe as a result of smoking) from the "Kissinger syndrome" in that it had a very raspy disturbance. Especially at a later age this became very apparent. Clear your throat man!!
Smoking evidently destroyed Nimoy's bankable voice, and led to his eventual death, despite having quit some years back. He said he quit but not in time. Damage done.
The way he sounds in JJ-Trek is unfortunate, and far from the Spock I want to remember.
