This reminds me of the depressing state of Babylon 5 and it languishing on bad DVD sets forever. And yet a 1960s show like the original Star Trek looks so good.

Star Trek was shot on film and so were its effects. Although it's a blessing that they gave it to us in 4:3.

just put it on dvd in the OAR.

I think the article said 16:9. Fortunately I still have my original 4:3 set.

My library copy is 16x9. 2005 release.
Wyd?

Is there an earlier DVD release in the proper ratio?

According to Amazon reviewers Only the 1998 release is 4x3 and this is oop.
