From the "about" section on the website: "The world premiere release of the soundtrack from the 1977 beloved Jim Henson produced TV special, Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas. The show first aired December 17,1977 on HBO and features songs written by Paul Williams. The music is classic Paul Williams and Jim Henson magic. Fans have been asking for a release of the soundtrack for many years." It, like the Charlie Brown release, does not mention the source of the release. I'm assuming the audio was taken from a yard sale VHS.

I've never seen the special or heard any of the songs, so I'll have to check it out later. I hope along with these kinds of releases lately, I can get my little grail, too: "Garfield in Disguise" ( AKA: what should have been called the Garfield Halloween Special). Catchy memorable songs and a score that's stuck in my head.

I never really got into the Christmas and Thanksgiving ones, though the Hawaii vacation one was fun and had a catchy song or two in it.

Well, I watched most of the special. I didn't care for the songs or score.

Well, I watched most of the special. I didn't care for the songs or score. Then this thread ain't for you. Buh-bye! So long! Bon voyage! Farewell to thee! Don't forget to write!
