I'm sure this is a big break for her and I'm excited to hear what she comes up with!

I too am hoping she brings a fresh voice to the superhero genre!

That is truly remarkable news, given Toprak's relatively low profile. (Goransson at least had two previous Ryan Coogler films, including the very successful Creed). Congratulations to Ms. Toprak, and I'm always eager to hear what new musical voices bring to the cinema, especially in the sci-fi/fantasy/adventure genre.

Congratulations to Ms. Toprak, but I must admit if I was making the choice here, I'd have selected Debbie Wiseman. I’d have suggested Anne Dudley but hey I also thought she would have done an amazing job on Wonder Woman too. On one hand, I’m happy that this film based on a female protagonist is being scored by a woman. Great move. On the other, and this is just personal taste, I’ve not heard anything by Ms Toprak that I really like but maybe this will be the score that changes that.
