The desert for live football means theyre struggling for meaningful news. Bad enough when they have got live match stories, but the relentless juggernaut of anti racism (todays one has sterling claiming that any fans shouting something racist should get their teams a points deduction!) and sky's crusade to try and tell us (with a straight face) women's football is as important as the men's.
Bring on the play-offs, the champs lge final and the transfer news!!
"...i dont understand the brighton decision to out Chris Hughton. He did well, got them up, kept them in the division, semi final of the fa cup. Perhaps the Brighton board just wanted a change? A bit like Ipswich did when they got rid of me. How's that worked out for them?..."

Mick's great. Leeds fan despite being from Barnsley, as I understand it.
I've a lot of time for Mick, and he's right about Ipswich. Done a good job. Look at them now.
Good luck to them, but this talk about women's football is getting ridiculous. They even said manc city were the first men's team to win a treble, as if anyone actually cared (or knew) about the women's one!!
Btw, if anyone talks about this world cup coming up on the thread or even watches it, I'm leaving

I'm gonna tune in to Soccer Aid because it'll be interesting to see a mixed gender match. There are bound to be a few tackles between genders.
I like Mick. Almost got Ireland to the quarter-finals of the World Cup in 2002, only penalties got in the way, and nicked a draw vs Germany late on in a group game. Could argubly have done better if Roy Keane hadn't scarpered.
Good luck to them, I certainly wouldn't go there. Appalling human rights record and listed as the most discriminatory country in Europe. It's a disgrace the bean counters at UEFA would hold a final there.
And it's one of the host cities for next year's Euros which is a joke.
Fuck off, no it isn't. And don't mention it again.
As micky flanagan says getting told to fuck off has sadly died down a bit these days. He said as a kid he was told to fuck off a lot. One time he went in the lounge with a bag of crisps where his dad was watching the TV and he took one bite of crisp and his dad said "You can fuck off with those crisps! - im trying to watch the news!!! "
Yes im hoping for the day when someone - somewhere - says on sky how crap standard womens football is - and when they get attacked by the army of do gooders actually gets defended by everyone sick of the pretence n the over-promotion.
When's the next "international break" going to happen? I'm sick of all this club stuff.
