Not posts, per se, but the threads that immediately pop up when an actor has died and the threads ask which of the deceased's film scores one likes the best--as though one has anything meaningful to do with the other. Now, celebrating a just-passed actor's career with a thread depicting posters of their films is an obvious and respectful tribute, but I have yet to understand what connection exists between a film's score and the actors that appear in it. But maybe it's just because I find the ghoulish timing of such threads to be distasteful and I've never been able to explain good taste to someone that has none. Oh well--that's on me, I suppose.
I get where ya coming from oct and it is a bit silly - but being nerds that collect film music i guess we gotta go somewhere with it - esp as we cant help but associate actors with scores. In a way, i guess its a weird tribute but a sort of tribute regardless.

Agreed! I don't think I've ever posted in a single one of those.

England better get working on installing AC unites across the country before you all boil. Then again if the jet stream turns off you'll freeze to death instead. What a predicament to be in...
Unlike that idiotic, space hogging cartoon. I like Justin’s “beating a dead horse” cartoons. They fit.
I’m annoyed by threads that announce composers for new films that we know will disintegrate into opposing comments like “Awesome” and “That sucks.” I may have in the past contributed negatively to those, but I hope not. I definitely have my favorite composers, and some composers’ music I dislike, but I can’t figure out why we just don’t wait until we’ve heard the music before passing definitive judgments. (Or I should say before we just give our various opinions once the music is heard.) Those topics create a lot of contentiousness and ill will between members when we haven’t heard a single note.
