Surprised this was not posted yet but notefornotemusic.com just released a new Rain Man score cd and from the Facebook samples they posted it sounds amazing compared to the Perserverence atrocity that came before it. Great to finally have this!
Wow...ordered! (Luckily not an April fools joke!) Thanks for the heads up, an instant buy for me, after the hit and miss release from Perserverance. Their release sounds awfull and it sounded as it was directly taken from a Boot source. I wasted about 35(!) dollars on this back then.

I guess I have to keep the Perserverance cd for the source music
at first glimpse it sound so muuuch better than the horrible Perseverance release. That buying experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. Specially since for me (and the rest of international buyers) shipping costs make it more expensive.
Ford is one of the producers maybe he can chime in?
1.) This new release was taken from Digital Masters and multi-track tape discovered at MGM.
2.) It has the entire score plus recreations of the two suites that appeared on the song album using the film mixes (They were remixed for the song album), but sound fairly close.
3.) The only thing that isn't included are a couple of bonus tracks on the original releases, which seem to be just element tracks taken from the full mixes and given how awful they sounded we decided not to include them.
IMHO, this sounds light years better then the original release of the RAIN MAN score.
