I see a pattern... Michael, have you already got the missing titles? Does the double-CD from La-La Land, from the TV series, interest you (Schifrin et al)?

I think I am complete for the Goldsmith/Rosenman Apes titles. I have been considering the Rosenman scores for some time after purchasing Fantastic Voyage and A Man Called Horse

What also got me going was the new CD and book of Planet of the Apes from Pithikos Entertainment. The new info in the book was a revelation.

What is the double-CD from La-La land? Is it the TV series? [EDIT] Just answered my own question by visiting the site!

I remember watching the TV series back in the day but was not taken by the music. However, I shall seek it out and listen to the excerpts, should there be any. [EDIT] Not really my cup of tea. smile

    Okay michael! At ease.

I haven't added to my collection since December/January (Xmas prezzies). Twelve CDs! That's my usual annual purchase! Offhand I can only think of one thing that's due out very soon which I will purchase, and that's Volume 2 of "Thriller" (JG). Oh, and I just might go for the new "Rambo 3". Still got a wants list as long as my arm, but even if no more CDs are ever produced I'll be dead before I get round to filling those gaps.

Slightly off topic but the two I am holding out for to someday to add to a future New In My Collection thread would be the forthcoming King of Kings (Rozsa) from Tadlow and, if it happens, the Jungle Book (Rozsa).

You might get one heck of a lot of enjoyment out of that Egyptian (especially the La La Land). The one really pays off with repeated listens.

Ah well it's the Naxos single-disc William Stromberg version I've got, but even so, good to hear it's got the thumbs up!
Yes - the John Scott was good fun. Will continue playing these tomorrow :-)
