TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27 FAHRENHEIT 451---trailer released for the HBO movie based on the Ray Bradbury novel. Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEhsFEgsI5U WONDER WOMAN 2---reportedly, the sequel's main villain is Cheetah/Barbara Ann Minerva with Emma Stone turning the role down. CAPTAIN MARVEL---Gemma Chan (FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM) will play Kree villain Minn-Erva in the Marvel movie. SILVER SURFER---20th Century Fox movie underway based on the Marvel Comics superhero. A Fox executive said the movie is, “going 100 miles per hour”, and is, “way more in development and production in Marvel IP than at any point in the history of the studio.” Brian K. Vaughn (RUNAWAYS) is the writer. THE JOKER---Joaquin Phoenix commented on the rumor that he will play The Joker in the solo movie, "What movie about a Joker?... I have no idea what you're talking about." NEKROMANCER---photo released from the sci fi movie starring Monica Belluci. The writers are Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner (WYRMWOOD). MURPHY BROWN---Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud will return with Candice Bergen for the CBS reboot series. Charles Kimbrough has not signed to return yet. WAYWARD PINES---Fox cancelled the series. THE PUNISHER---new characters are being added for Season 2. Josh Stewart will play John Pilgrim, a man with a violent past. Floriana Lima will play psychotherapist Krista Dumont. Giorgia Whigham will play grifter Amy Bendix. BETTER CALL SAUL---Vince Gilligan said Jesse Pinkman might return, “You never know if that character may get revisited in the future. Anything’s possible.” He added, “There could have been police right around the next corner. Or there could have been an unfettered, free future for him. I personally would like to think he got away, because he paid his dues tenfold." TRIVIA---probably the least-known of director Clint Eastwood's movies is BREEZY which is about a successful, but cynical, real estate salesman who falls in love with a teenage hippy and finds a new lease on life. The movie was written for Eastwood, but he decided to direct it with William Holden and Kay Lenz starring. Eastwood has a cameo as a man on the pier where Holden and Lenz are walking. Holden's son, Scott, has a cameo as the veterinarian. Roger C. Carmel co-stars as Holden's best friend, but he's better know as Harry Mudd on STAR TREK. Marj Dusay plays Holden's former girlfriend and also co-starred in "Spock's Brain" on STAR TREK. Odd for an Eastwood movie, the music was written by Michel Legrand with lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman, the Oscar-winning team for THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR. Eastwood has a cameo as the man on the pier near Holden and Lenz. Holden and Lenz go to a theater which is showing Eastwood's HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER. Roger C. Carmel played Holden's best friend and is better known as Harry Mudd on STAR TREK. Marj Dusay played Holden's former girlfriend and co-starred in "Spock's Brain" on STAR TREK.
