Have not seen any mention of a score release? Howard is pretty good at this kinda stuff.

Nice!

New JNH scores are simply the most wonderful occasions -- especially for a Francis Lawrence picture! JNH's scores to Lawrence's films are outstanding at their worst!

Can't wait!

"Highly effective as well is James Newton Howard's discordant score, which knowingly harkens back to the work of Hitchcock's frequent musical collaborator, Bernard Herrman."

There have been a few mentions about JNH's score for Red Sparrow and all have been positive. While it is good to hear that this score isn't a re-thread of SALT - which I enjoyed very much, I was looking forward to some tracks with a Russian Choir (this may be the case in the end, though none of the reviewers have mentioned it).

Very interested in new JNH and especially for a movie like Red Sparrow. Count me in.

If JNH channels Herrman I´m all for it.

The thing is, each time a score is praised by critics, I'm getting worried. They only seem to notice scores that I don't find particularly good or interesting. (Two examples from last year: Dunkirk, Blade Runner 2049)

I love Salt, but agree with that

But also think, Salt is more a action thriller and this is more like a old-fashined slow burn thriller

Hope so... it would be cool to see JNH do a traditional and a bit old fashioned spy thriller score rather than another when orchestra is completely killed and drowned in electronic mess.

Well, Salt is far, for example, Green Lantern (altough i like certain tracks for that score), there is electronics in Salt, but there is a plenty orchestra and pretty cool action tracks and choir.

Chase Across DC is a BEAST

Only on Amazon US. You can get the pressed disc through Barnes and Noble and other retailers. Probably even Intrada and Screen Archives. Amazon UK works too.

One of the worst scores ever made by JNH. Such a shame..
