"Highly effective as well is James Newton Howard's discordant score, which knowingly harkens back to the work of Hitchcock's frequent musical collaborator, Bernard Herrman." There have been a few mentions about JNH's score for Red Sparrow and all have been positive. While it is good to hear that this score isn't a re-thread of SALT - which I enjoyed very much, I was looking forward to some tracks with a Russian Choir (this may be the case in the end, though none of the reviewers have mentioned it). If JNH channels Herrman I´m all for it.

I love Salt, but agree with that But also think, Salt is more a action thriller and this is more like a old-fashined slow burn thriller

Hope so... it would be cool to see JNH do a traditional and a bit old fashioned spy thriller score rather than another when orchestra is completely killed and drowned in electronic mess. Well, Salt is far, for example, Green Lantern (altough i like certain tracks for that score), there is electronics in Salt, but there is a plenty orchestra and pretty cool action tracks and choir. Chase Across DC is a BEAST
