Does this seem a little low key compared to say, Sleeping Beauty or Mary Poppins? Well, it looks like Disney has made more of an attempt to expand Beauty and the Beast than they did those two scores (especially Sleeping Beauty since they had all the material right there).

How much of this was not on other editions? (It's been 26 years since I listened to this / watched this a lot.)

I doubt the prologue will be instrumental, but I hope so. I wish all the regular lyrical songs would have instrumental versions as well. Otherwise, this release seems to be pretty comprehensive but I wish someone like LaLaLand Records would put together these releases to gather ALL the material. Looks like there are a few things up to question: - Is the prologue instrumental or with narration? - Is "Death of the Beast" film version or the alternate? Either way, one of these won't be on the album - "West Wing" alternate won't be on the album (from the 1991 original soundtrack release) - "Belle" -Reprise DEMO won't be on the album (from the Music Behind the Magic cd) Here's a spreadsheet I put together comparing all the versions: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YjApuH41ide6cbt3HJKcCPo4Vjl0S4sQhV0gYEQywR4/edit?usp=sharing

I think there might still be alternates and such on this release. Wasn't there a previous title in the series where the early leaked tracklist was only the main program? People were then pleasantly surprised to find that the final list included a lot of bonus cues, IIRC... Yavar

With Robin Hood, some insider came here and posted what ended up being the official tracklist, whereas with this, we ended up finding out the tracklist from a retailer site, which probably means that tracklist is what we’re getting.

I doubt it's cancelled after that tweet 19 hours ago. It'll probably pop back up. Maybe the track listing was inaccurate.
