262. solium in "Film Score Fans Tend to Be Musically Conservative":

So what you're suggesting is that the following never happens:

Yes, and judging from the photos that have been posted, the following never happens either:

263. PhiladelphiaSon in "Who is YOUR Girl with the White Parasol?":

"The closest I ever came to having one, was once in 1972, I walked into an audition, where I was familiar with everyone there, except the girl who had just stepped onto the stage. When she opened her mouth to sing, I fell instantly in love with her. Her voice was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. I kept asking people who she was, but no one seemed to know her. She finished her song, and quickly left the theater. I couldn't get her voice and the song she sang (So Far), out of my mind. As fate would have it (luckily for me) I saw her again, less than a year later, when we were cast opposite one another in a show. We've been together for 38 years!"

Good lord, Solium. What are you so very afraid of? Since you always have a hissy fit about women in men's roles, I thought I'd balance things by saying that if men wanted to do a Charlie's Angels film it wouldn't be awful. It might be fun. Let the guys take over some standard female roles. I was just trying for a bit of balance. That's all.

So I wrote something that you think is a dumb ass thing. I thought it would be fun, and I also supported NOT giving the 007 number to a woman.

It must be terrible for you to be constantly be angry and fearful of strong women and ethnic or racial diversity.

I don't need a Chippendale fix. I have a wonderful husband and daughters, a normal family life, and I don't live in fear all the time. I can't help but wonder how your relationships are with women, but it isn't any of my business. I think I feel sorry for you.

Sol, I felt attacked, but I didn't break the rules NOR did I do any name calling.

SOLIUM's pithy but devastating takedown of SUPERGIRL's delusional, self-important, SJW producer:

Showrunner Jessica Queller said, “A lot of us were passionate about getting Supergirl into pants and out of the short skirt, and we felt like that would be a powerful move, .......

Solium:
"A powerful move?"

I have this image in my head of Mr. Spock, raised eyebrows and skeptically asking
" Powerful move?
Curious"

266. Josh "Alpha Bro" Mitchell in "Personal Confessions" aka "The Retard Thread":

"When I was 9 years old (in '84), I owned a pair of shiny gold parachute pants. Some kids laughed, but I knew they were special."

I can still see my nine-year-old self strutting down the street in those gems, like the pimp in I'm Gonna Git You Sucka.

*Still reeling over the fact that Today's Josh Mitchell (mean, mean man*) is four years younger than I am*

*Think "Rush"!

267. Cricket853 judging the sh!t out of everyone in "Fast Food Restaurants to Lament Over":

"Geez, people, don't you know this food is bad for you. Ever read "Fast Food Nation"? I would not mind if all these fast food restaurants went the way of the dodo.

"Reminds me of the guy who went on a 1-month trial period of eating nothing but McDonalds food. If asked if he wanted to supersize it, he had to say yes. Had to eat everything. After a while, his doctor told him to quit because his body was going through organ failure. No lie!"

269. Thor in "Are Most Film Score Fans Sci-Fi Fans?" (emphasis added):

"There were still film scores--and orchestral film scores--in the 70s, but you could argue that STAR WARS repopularized the kind of neo-romantic, symphonic style -- even beyond the sci fi and adventure genre. But that's about it. I often see people talk about how STAR WARS 're-introduced' orchestral scores, and I often have to correct them. It only re-popularized a certain type of orchestral score."

Phelps studies the text of Thor the way a Rabbi studies the Torah ( The Thora?)
If only you spent your time doing something that benefits humanity.

Nah. Keep it up Jimbo!
