Would have loved for this to have gotten a Golden Compass or Stardust type of adventure score. AWIT is actually a pretty dark and angsty book. Meg is downright moody, iirc. (I haven't read this again in something like 20 years.) OTOH, A Wind in the Door was just as whacked out when I was 28 as it was when I was 10 and I have never been able to make it through A Swiftly Titling Planet. (Not helping much: Ramin Djawadi’s oddly terrible score, screaming emotions like an overgrown thought balloon covering up its own illustration.)" Uh, oh. A film score with "emotions."
