Took me too long to pick this up after getting the original release the moment it was announced. This collection was absolutely worth the re-buy for me!
Wasn't interested until I realized it was $35 for BOTH scores. Ordered! Had purchased the first Lala Batman release and never play it. Hope the upgrade changes that. Glad I never pulled the trigger on Returns.
Can anyone sum up the differences (good and bad) between this collection and the earlier releases? There's not a lot of information to be found. Just wondering if it is worth the upgrade.

Differences? From what I remember they have used a better source tapes to remaster the the film mix on of BATMAN on Disc 1. The rest of the cds are exactly the same. The liner notes are the same but the artwork has been redone by Jim Titus so that's a plus point.
I saw 11:59 and assumed it was midnight. I am an idiot. I'll get this soon regardless. Would have been nice to save, but they were super clear to those paying attention. Which wasn't me.
Begrudgingly & too late for anyone now, THIS is the Bat to play. I shelled out the $50 shipped to hear one of my all time faves & am not disappointed. Best way to describe it - the prior Batman was like listening with cotton in my ears. Now, the cotton is out & I'm hearing voicings, colors, instruments I never have, after 8,000 listens. The booklet is much classier as well, nicely done. Well worth it.
Listening to Batman remastered. The difference is huge between the previous release and this one.
I agree but for the Main Title. I prefer the in your face snare percussion of the original LLL release. That’s how it is in the film, and I wish it were mastered as such for the compilation.
Now that's really interesting. As I though they were the same masters just bundled in a box set. I believe I even read someone mention that on this forum.

Exactly. The reason I *didn’t* bought the box set was because I already owned three of the four discs. I still hope the new elements master of Elfman’s score will get a separate release.
