A virtually impossible task but if I had to choose five, one from my top five favourite composers they would be:

Ripleys Rescue - Aliens - Horner
Helicopter Sequence - Superman - Williams
Escape from Torture - Rambo II - Goldsmith
The Buffalo Hunt film version - DWW - Barry
The Clocktower - BTTF - Silvestri

"clocktower" WOULD be my favorite but that damn "Its been Educational" and fade completely ruin it!

Ugh, so hard to choose, but I came down to picking 5:

Desert Chase - Raiders of the Lost Ark - Williams - has probably the greatest action motif ever written.
Futile Escape - Aliens - Horner(everyone lose Bishops Countdown more it seems but I am partial to this one)
Ben Kenobi's Death/Here They Come - Star Wars: A New Hope - Williams - perfectly encapsulates everything this score has to offer into one cue
The Hijacking - Air Force One - Goldsmith - intense as hell, especially near the end.
Surprise Attack - Star Trek 2: TWOK- Horner - the cue that made me fall in love with Horner's music

Just going to leave this right here. So fun to watch with the score reduction!

Just proves it! the greatest action track ever!
Id love to see this analysis on some of Goldsmith's cues from First Blood.

I'd agree and starting around the 5:10 mark Williams writes one of the greatest action motifs ever, IMHO of course. Thanks for sharing this!

Not my all time #1 favorite, but The Zeppelin from Horner's The Rocketeer is just flat out incredible.
