LOVED it. Saw it with my wife, our 8-year old daughter and her friend. Holly and I thought the kids would get bored or frustrated by the subtitles, but they sat through the whole thing with their eyes glued to the screen (except for the times when they looked at each other with that "OMG, that was awesome!" expression on their faces). Allow me to venture a guess with regards to "OMG": I almost lePt up from my seat and cheered, so yeah awesome to the nth power. The theater was almost completely full, too, and at least two dozen people stayed through the end credits, which almost never happens; I'm usually the only one left in the theater after the credits start rolling. I mentioned to Holly and the girls that I was going to stay and listen to the music, and the guy sitting next to me leaned over and mentioned his surprise at the use of Ifukube's original '54 music in the film (!). Wow. One of us. Incidentally, I ordered the soundtrack from CDJapan as soon as we got home. What a blast. Wow, that's two remarkable occurrences in one sitting. Remarkable.
