Director Colin Trevorrow announced on Twitter that Michael Giacchino will be composing the music for the upcoming drama The Book of Henry. The film stars Naomi Watts, Jacob Tremblay, Jaeden Lieberher, Dean Norris, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Maddie Ziegler and Bobby Moynihan. The movie follows a single mother who raises a genius boy.

Gregg Hurwitz has written the screenplay. Sidney Kimmel (The Place Beyond the Pines, Lars and the Real Girls, The Age of Adaline) and Carla Hacken are producing the project with Jenette Kahn & Adam Richman (The Flock). Giacchino and Trevorrow have previously collaborated on last year’s record-breaking Jurassic World.

The Book of Henry is currently in post-production and is expected to be released in summer 2017 by Focus Features.

Time to update the thread title.

Focus Features has pushed back The Book of Henry almost an entire year, from September 16, 2016, to June 16, 2017

You'd think they'd have got Conti to do this.

I love that poster. And I sincerely hope the 80´s vibe of that will inform Giacchino´s score as well.

Did anyone else update to Safari 10.1 and find that all of the Youtube links in these forums are suddenly blank? They still work in Firefox, but I'm not seeing anything in Safari. Apparently this is an annoying new bug.

Sorry for the digression, mates!

I updated my iPhone last night and this is the first thread I checked today. Yup, no video. It's not even clickable. Sad.

Is that poster being used? I mean, it's beautiful, but seems like the kinda poster art today's studios frown upon.

Really...great poster. big grin

Three new posters:

Which one will be used for the OST cover?

Actually like all three :-)
The middle one is clearly looking for some Amblin/Drew Struzan vibe, I like that (so it will probably won't be used...).

Glad Giacchino is working on something small between this seemingly infinite list of tent-pole movies. I think smaller ensemble suits him better than those gigantic scores. "Monte Carlo" was charming.

Yeah... I only hope this won't end up like majority of his smaller scores (50/50, This is Where I leave you,..).

So far, no score release, not even digital it seems.

Maybe his two week by week releases of Spider-Man: Homecoming and War for the planet of the apes are considered as saturating the market?

It is very nice to see a proper, drawn and painted poster.
Photographic or CG composited posters are just not the same.

Strange - the film opens this Friday, and no advance reviews are out there.

A sign of strong security or, well, insecurity?
