If rights are obtained, an expanded Moonraker rerecording would surely sell well and would be much less expensive than 'King Of Kings'. Has to be worth a shot, James?

Quite honestly, I'd prefer further BBIA volumes over a complete "Moonraker" re-recording since there are many cues from the earlier movies which are known to exist only in archival sound at the very best.

There is a case to be made for an album which records still as-yet unreleased music from the first 25 years of Bond instead of a singular MOONRAKER reconstruction, but I'm genuinely up for either. The case for a singular MOONRAKER reconstruction is that it is, in my opinion, far and away the best of the Bond scores not yet given the expanded treatment and the sound quality on the released album is, frankly, shit. But whichever way this goes, if it goes any way at all, I just need an improvement on the original BBIA albums. I really am sorry to say it (again) since I love everyone so, but many of those tracks were some way off being correct for me. Even the Moonraker tracks. But things have gotten so much better over the years I am 100% confident reconstructions made today would be far superior. Of the Barry scores, there is still unreleased music from: From Russia With Love Goldfinger Thunderball - still about 20 minutes apparently On Her Majesty's Secret Service The Man With The Golden Gun Moonraker Octopussy A View To A Kill The Living Daylights (There is like one 'stinger' missing from Diamonds Are Forever, but it's like three seconds of music so really not worth mentioning.) Not to mention I'd love a 'film version' of Ride To Atlantis from SPY as well as the 'film version' of the underwater action music when the Lotus Esprit meets Stromberg's underwater defence forces. But whichever way this goes, I'm totally in. If it happens. Cheers

Cheers So when you say that the tracks are off on BBIA, do you mean that they are unsatisfactory performances or that the transcriptions are not note perfect? Ideally I'd want the sound of the rerecording to be spot on, but I'd be happy with a close attempt rather than nothing, especially where there are tracks on the earlier albums that are lost and cannot ever be released now. I'm with you, I'd be happy with either a complete Moonraker or a third BBIA with more unreleased cues. I hope that they can be persuaded to give it a go.
