Guess I am a lucky one seeing as I never bought the Returns expanded, just the original. Was on the fence about repurchasing again but fell on the side of going for it. Better sound AND getting Returns, ok.

And I'm not in any way unhappy for those who missed an opportunity the first time out. I think it's great that it's being reissued; just not happy how it's packaged for those Elfman and Bat-fans that already bought it originally. You'll love it, too! Both scores are incredibly well-presented by MV and LLL!

Old David C Fein art vs. new Jim Titus art?

It's a no-brainer!

How were they supposed to handle it? Didn't this new source of digitial tapes show up after the fact? Was MV supposed to hop in his DeLorean, fire up the flux capacitor, and go where there still are raods and getr the tapes, go back and then do it? I mean, come on.

Besides, he'd have to admit to having a DeLorean.

Silly rebuttal and knee-jerk typos notwithstanding, there are many ways to handle such a thing customer-service-wise. My job is not to lecture MV on how to best approach such a situation; I'm here on a message board as a fan, letting one of my favourite labels know that there are a couple of business decisions they've made that disappointed me. That is all.

Don't enjoy your high horse too much. There are people out there that would come down on your reply as silly just for even making it. Besides, you're missing the reality of the situation and quite frankly making silly statements of your own.

Unless MV states otherwise, they did the best they could with the sources avialable. There is no lecture you or anybody else can give them or poiting out of how they make their business decisions that has anythign to do with the reality of what happened.

Thankfully no label here appears to make their decisions on a poster's ideas of how business decions should have been handled. They're gonna make the money and they're going to make fans who missed out, happy on both titles.

I bow to you, good sir, it must be nice to never make typos!

...Will there be samples in which we can listen to the better audio when the soundtrack becomes available?

I have Bats '89 but not Returns. I am glad LLL is re-releasing both. I will be a happy, broke camper.

I was expecting a "The Stepford Wives" sale, coinciding with David Arnold's "Shaft"

No high horse, my friend, just the one I rode in on. smile

And typos are one thing, but holy shit your posts are littered with murdered words all over the place. Heh heh.

Forget Batman.. and focus finally on far more important things... like... when is the next Marco Beltrami CD on LLL coming? wink

SEVENTH SON would be nice and it seems there is STILL no label attached to it yet, although the film opens in selected countries in less than 3 weeks. And there is still no word about soundtrack album getting released - nor any label - unless considering it is a Legendary production title distributed by Universal Pictures it will be released by Universal's own label?
Or THE COUP?
HITMAN: AGENT 47?

YES - SEVENTH SON and EXPANDED 3:10 to YUMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

==================

or... any chance this might be ever get released?
It's last major David Arnold's score without an official release (sure, not counting his shorter scores like Zoolander, which are nice but just way too short).

Now if only LLL's site would work so we could actually hear them...

I ordered through SAE. No shipping notice yet unfortunately. Should have ordered direct through LLL.

Just picked up Big Top Pee Wee in the recent La-La Land '80's sale. So much fun. Listening to it on a decent set of headphones, the main titles have unique distinction that they tickle! I've never listened to anythign quite like it, even from Elfman.
