(by midnight, we mean Thursday night (Nov 27) leading into Friday (Nov 28)...just to clarify)

So much for "no expensive box sets" this year. That lot are going to cost a pretty packet at, once again, the least wallet-friendly time of the year.

Guessing release #1 or #2 will be "Shaft". Release #3 will be a fairly significant title.
Release #4 or #5 will be a Star Trek series set. Enterprise?

#3's gotta be The Passion.

Enterprise is most likely one of the 4-disc sets.

Shaft might be one of the 1-disc releases, unless it's a January title.

Hmm... curious how one 4-disc set is more expensive than the other. (This will probably never happen, but a combo Ghostbusters/Ghostbusters II song and score set would be pretty awesome!)

I'll echo the idea "that could be a pretty packet to spend so close to the holiday season.". Can't we move the Black Friday releases to say ... Easter? smile

To the contrary, these releases could come in very handy when others ask you what's on your wish list. smile

I'm 99% sure at least one of those 4 disc sets is Star Trek.

Agreed. I remember the Passion sold well amongst Christian music collectors which may be why it's set at 10000 copies given the cross-over market. I'm guessing the other unknown 4 cd set is another TV series release? I suppose there's no chance this is the Xfiles volume 3 come early?

I want the Six Million Dollar Man soundtrack or a Adam West Batman TV soundtrack. That's what's been in my prayers. (Really).

There have been enough movie soundtracks, I want some classic TV music.

Isn't Black Friday supposed to be about sales and discounts?

Ah no, did some research, it's the day that the Christmas cash grab begins. Makes more sense! :-)

Well, you're sort of in luck. A couple or so months back MV said:

"We do have a couple of great classic tv shows we are currently working on."

Since they hinted that they/somebody are working on it, I will now be holding out hope with every batch that one of them is FUTURAMA.

I want some classic TV music.

As do I. One of the many classic 60s and 70s crime drama or action series is preferable, though I highly doubt that we'll be getting any here.

Still hoping for Columbo.

10,000 units? Must be one hell of a title. How often does a label bust out a number like that?

I'm hoping for a G.I. Joe Real American Hero CD or He-Man or even a compilation of 80's toons.
