A great documentary about Flynn and his career.

I really want to see Flynn's screwball comedy FOUR'S A CROWD now. (did he do others?)

And who's this mook named Ray Something-or-Other who wangled a music credit?

I'll bet if he showed his puss around HERE we'd show him a thing or two about film music! smile

I produced the score for this show. They let me use original session tracks from Korngold and Steiner scores. A couple of neat segues were cut because the co-director didn't want music under any interview segments. I think they might have left the one under Olivia. Anyway, I thought it was a terrific film and I loved working on it.

I noticed the score and rightly assumed it was comprised of the original Warner recordings. They sounded great!. Wish more of these original recordings would be availble on stand alone releases.

It did the best thing I think any documentary can do: it made me want to go out and explore the topic more (see more of his films.)

And a nice job you did, too, Ray.

Every time we get close to a deal there's another turnover in the music dept. Grrrr.

This is the old Turner/Rhino set.
I had this set from day 1.
An expansion/remaster of this material would be wonderful.

The Flynn picture that's missing in action is THE PERFECT SPECIMEN. There is a trailer extant but the film itself is buried (domestically) under literary rights restrictions. You can see it on ok.ru
