A belated addition.

I just took a look in my "Themes" section (~900+ LPs) and I actually do have this LP. It's a nice 2-LP set in a very sturdy gatefold cover. I was planning to go through them all starting at "A". Whew! It starts on the topmost level near the ceiling and I would have needed my step-ladder to see the first spine titles.

I was going to ask you, Ron, if you even had this LP. I should know better by now to never doubt you having any film music-related release!! LOL

Great find, Doug! Congratulations to our Premier Audio Detective!

You saved me some weekend time perusing all of the budget "Strings" LP releases, which this cue sounded like it came from. 101 Strings. The Living Strings. The Melachrino Strings. The Longines Symphonette. etc. etc. It's a really nice arrangement to boot.

Yes, it's a really lovely arrangement (and sounds so like Mancini at the beginning), and I'm still beaming from THX's sterling bit of detective work!

Outstanding find.

I can honestly say I'd never heard of The Longines.

I am now intrigued!!

You'll find them cheap at just about any rummage sale of real size.

I can honestly say I'd never heard of The Longines.

My only exposure to them before this thread was as part of a lyric in the They Might Be Giants song “Birdhouse in Your Soul”…

My story's infinite
Like the Longines Symphonette, it doesn't rest
