After being quite disappointed by "Tarzan" I`ve listened to some older scores by David Newman and again I was blown away by the craftmanship and the creativity of his score to "102 Dalmatians". After listening to that score again I knew why I became such a huge Newman fan. "102 Dalmatians" is incredibly creative, inventive and developed. It cleverly incorporates and samples the song "Digga Digga Dog" by Oren Waters from the film in such a creative way, it is almost mind boggling. The score is just amazing. In my humble opinion it is one of the most creative film scores of the 90s.
Isn`t it sad that you don`t hear those kind of scores in today`s films anymore?

I'm sorry, but the quoting of 'Digga Digga Dog' is the very thing that turns me off about the score. I love Newman and so, I'm forced to assume that the producers made him interpolate that "song".

Free of it, it's not bad. The choral quote of "Cruella De Vil" in the scene where she reverts to her old self was pretty neat.

I just acquired a FYC CD of the score. The disc features 12 tracks, but no track names. Does anyone by chance have info concerning the tracks?

I don't mean to be rude, but are these track titles supplied by Dr Channing correct? They do not sound correct... Anyone?

Yeah, that list isn't the least bit helpful. Anybody else?

I've had a promo of 102 DALMATIONS that was circulated by Newman's agency for years, and my tracklist matches what Dr. Channing posted. So I would say it's correct!

My apologies. The track names just seemed suspect. I was wrong, evidently. Thank you for your help.
