I think the clue implies that the composer is still alive though anything by Roubaix would be great. Yes, i've just realized the clues in the english text are more explicit : i thought it was same text.

Could there be anything from the 50s or 60s this time around? My money is on Georges Garvarentz and Denis de la Patellière. Du Rififi à Paname, a heist film starring Jean Gabin, would make a wonderful release.

It's probably HOLD-UP (heist movie with Belmondo) coupled with LE DERNIER ÉTÉ À TANGER (romantic drama) - both scores by Serge Franklin were formerly on LP and both movies were directed by Alexandre Arcady.

I'm not familiar with Tanger. It was released on LP? I do have fond memories of Hold-Up, a fun Belmondo caper filmed in my hometown of Montreal, and later sort of (badly) remade as Quick Change.

I'm not familiar with Tanger. It was released on LP? Yes, of course it was in 1987: http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/title/52419/Dernier+%C9t%E9+%E0+Tanger It's a long time ago that I have seen parts of the film. As far as I remember, there were some nice romantic tracks with an exotic touch in it, but I would not say it's one of the best Franklins. HOLD-UP was a quite funky mid-80s crime score.

Could it be a SARDE? Alas, none have been released on the Music Box label so far. However, I'm confident that it is only a matter of time as Sarde is probably one of the (or even the) top French film composers of all time having scored over 200 pictures.

A release of Twins would be nice. I'm sure he wrote a lot more than what ended up in the film. The Main Title is gorgeous.
