In just five weeks, zooba has gone from Cheez Whiz to Feta.

It's a veritable cheese revolution!

I have a love of cheese sandwiches, but I've yet to try Branston pickle--or any other brand.

How do you boys make your cheese sandwich? Do you follow the traditional method, or do you do something different?

Branston just overrides the taste of the cheese, does it not?

Are you asking this as someone who doesn't eat cheese sandwiches? If you do, what goes on a BillCarson cheese sandwich?

Butter and cheddar.

Sometimes just cheese. Sometimes tomatoes. Sometimes sliced beetroot.

Your Uncle Phelps likes sharp cheddar on rye bread (with the seeds; otherwise it's not rye), tomatoes, onions, and cracked black pepper. Oh, and mayonnaise, which I know you people don't eat.

I dip chips in mayo.
Prefer it to ketchup.

Isn't that popular in Europe, or at least in Belgium? I've never tried it, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Because ya see, I'm "edgy."

Cenarth Brie in my local supermarket, Waitrose. It's a lovely Welsh cheese, very soft & with a hint of mushroom in the flavour. I'm having it for tea tonight, larded on some rustic rolls & washed down with an American Zinfandel (from Sainsbury's). You've got to treat yourself these days.

I like almost all cheeses, especially with a good wine, I'm curious about their taste as soon as I see one... but I have just discovered too late my lactose intolerance which is the cause of many of my health problems, so sad.

Oh, that's a drag. I can't eat cream anymore (or anything containing cream), as I blow-up like a balloon, but thank god, milk & cheese are still okay.

Shredded Sharp Cheddar from The Grocery Outlet. I put it on my Turkey Burgers, Turkey Burritos and Bean Burritos.

I've pretty much given up Chips and Fries, but when I do enjoy them, I love them with Thousand Island Dressing.

But this is a Cheese Thread so I will melt Sharp Cheddar Cheese on the proceedings as well!

Happy Cholesterol Count Everybody!

Madrigal.

I'm partial to Swiss and Emmentaler - and Madrigal fits the bill nicely. Mild, yet very savory.

TJ's hasn't had any Madrigal in stock for awhile, but I'm just as happy with Jarlsberg which is pretty much the same flavor and creaminess.

Both are disgusting.

Tomatoes and cheddar combine into something wonderful.

I'm usually a devotee of Swiss cheeses like Madrigal and Jarlsberg, but I've become a fiend lately for Trader Joe's "Creamy Toscano, soaked in Syrah." Maybe it's the black peppers.

Thanks to Sainsburys, I've recently discovered a creamy blue cheese which, despite the Latinate name of Montagnolo Affine, is actually German. The particular variety they sell has a fairly unappealing grey rind, but ignore that and you have a wonderful delicate brie-like cheese with a hint of spiciness in the veins.

Still having this maybe three times in a two-month stretch. Bought some today, as it happens. And I’ve corrected the spelling, above.
