I love, love, love, this score! Vintage Elfman as far as I'm concerned! Agreed. Haven’t stopped listening to it on Spotify while the disc winds it’s way through the mail to me. Unfortunately, the concerto album and this one came out at the same time... but its been DUMBO all the time. Works well in the very underrated film too.

The film is bad, yes. Bit of a fall from MISS PELEGRINE, which I actually thought was a delightful film playing to Burton's strenghts (his best since DARK SHADOWS). Sucked. Both of EM.

Looking back at Burton's filmog', the last one I really enjoyed was SWEENEY TODD, way back in 2007. DARK SHADOWS, BIG EYES & MISS PEREGRINE weren't terrible to me (like DUMBO was), but I don't recall them lighting my balls either. ALICE IN WONDERLAND was just annoying/boring CGI sh!t (like DUMBO was). Liked TODD and ALICE. The rest range from poor to fair
